This policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) where it applies.
Licence holder names and authorization details displayed in search results come from Alberta government open data. Alberta treats water allocation licences as public information. We do not collect that registry data from licence holders directly.
We send transactional email about your account, listings, and billing without separate marketing consent. Watershed listing alerts are optional commercial electronic messages. By subscribing you consent to receive alert email for the watersheds you select. Each alert email includes instructions to unsubscribe by removing the alert in your dashboard or emailing us.
We use subprocessors that may process data outside Canada, including Cloudflare (hosting, security, D1 database), Stripe (payments), and Resend or Cloudflare Email (transactional email). They process data under their own terms and only as needed to provide their services.
Pro account records are kept while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward for billing and dispute resolution. Listing records are kept while published and for moderation history. Alert subscriptions are removed when you delete them. Security logs are retained per Cloudflare defaults.
You may request access to or correction of personal information we hold about you, or withdraw alert consent, by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time. You may manage Pro billing through the Stripe customer portal.
The Site is intended for professional and institutional users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy. The date at the top will change when we do.
